What the fee table does not show

Poshmark is built around fashion and social selling: sharing listings, offers to likers and bundles. Mercari is a general marketplace where electronics, toys and home goods sell alongside clothing.

On Poshmark the buyer always pays the flat shipping rate. On Mercari you choose: let the buyer pay, which adds to the amount the selling fee is charged on, or offer free shipping and pay for the label yourself.

Mercari also charges the buyer a Buyer Protection fee on top of the price, so a buyer comparing both apps does not see the same total for the same listed price.
